In Distress?
Employees may be experiencing a high degree of uncertainty, anxiety, stress, and worry about the health and safety of their family members, and how COVID-19 (coronavirus) may disrupt their personal lives and worker. It is important for all of us to acknowledge these impacts and to engage in open communication about them, including on ways to maintain and support our mental health. It is particular important to recognize and support those who may be more directly involved in the management of the situation, and those who have been instructed to self-isolate or who may be suffering from symptoms of COVID-19. See below for more information about the GNWT's Employee Family Assistance Program.

A toolkit of shareable graphics, posters, handouts, videos, and audio in many of the territory’s Indigenous languages has been developed and is being shared with stakeholders across the territory. All NWT residents are encouraged to share these materials on social media, print them for their offices, build awareness in their communities, or just look to them for good information on what we everyone should be doing to limit the spread of COVID-19. These materials will be updated and added to regularly, so keep checking back for more that you can use, or share in your community.
